Wike approves Senior Secondary school for Ketti, flags off construction of road

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has approved the construction of a Senior Secondary school for Ketti community in Abuja Municipal Area Council.

He gave the approval during the flag off of the construction of 12 kilometre Kabusa -Ketti access road on Wednesday.

Wike, who sighted some youths of the community holding banner with an inscription,’give us Senior Secondary School in Ketti’, told them to consider it done.

Recall that one of the traditional rulers in Ketti area was kidnapped and killed, recently due to bad road hindering the work of security operatives.

According to him, building of the school was fulfilling one of the promises Tinubu made to the residents during his campaign in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as well as stepping up efforts in the fight against insecurity.

The minister explained that Tinubu had directed him to open up more satellite areas to link communities with the city centre.

He said opening up of roads in area councils will help to improve on the security and make people stay in those areas and be coming to work in the town.

Wike told the contractor that funds for the project has been made a available for the project, and his administration would not accept excuses.
