Matawalle reaffirms loyalty to APC, commends Tinubu’s efforts in Zamfara

Dr. Bello Matawalle, Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, has reiterated his unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), praising party members for their continued dedication.

During a recent six-day visit to Zamfara, Matawalle hosted supporters at his Gusau residence, where he announced significant financial contributions worth millions of naira aimed at strengthening the APC and its affiliate groups within the state.

He emphasized that these donations were part of a broader effort to fortify the party’s infrastructure and ensure its ongoing success.

Matawalle also revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had provided a substantial amount of rice to be distributed to APC supporters across Zamfara.

He said a committee has been set up to ensure the equitable distribution of the provisions, even as he harped on the president’s commitment to supporting the party’s grassroots.

In his remarks, the former governor highlighted the importance of unity within the APC, pledging to maintain regular communication with supporters to promote dialogue and progress.

He also noted his ongoing partnership with Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar to advance the party’s objectives.

Matawalle expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for prioritizing infrastructure projects in Zamfara, particularly the dualization of the Zaria-Funtua-Gusau-Sokoto road, which is currently under construction.

On the issue of security, Matawalle assured the people of Zamfara that the Federal Government is fully committed to addressing the challenge of banditry.

He announced that President Tinubu had approved the procurement of advanced military equipment, including Armoured Personnel Carriers and warplanes, some of which have already been delivered, signaling a strong federal initiative to restore peace to the region.

Matawalle’s visit further solidified his connection with the people of Zamfara, reaffirming his dedication to both the state and the country.
