Nigerian businessman, Mr. Isaac Fayose, has dismissed the on-going impeachment moves against the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, insisting that the plot has already failed.
In a viral video, Fayose strongly criticized Barr. Nyesom Wike and the pro-Wike lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly, describing their actions as futile.
“The Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, is going nowhere. Forget all these things Wike and his pro-lawmakers are doing,” Fayose said in the video.
His view comes amid fresh impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara, initiated by the State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Martin Amaewhule and 26 lawmakers loyal to Mr. Wike.
The on-going political crisis in Rivers State has escalated since Fubara’s fallout with Wike, his predecessor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
