The APC Grassroots Governance Group APC G3 on friday warned Rivers State people to be wary of so called coalition leaders, who are targeting the state’s purse to finance their election in 2027.
APC G3 in a press release said the coalition leaders are only rising up now that their selfish interest is threatened.
APC G3 South-South Zonal spokesman, Ebitimi Martins who signed the press release said the coalition leaders failed to intervene when it mattered most.
According to the Group “Nigerians, particularly Rivers people should be wary of the recent interest in the state by the so called coalition leaders.
“Their interest is borne out of their selfish desire which is not in the interest of Rivers State.
“Is it not same coalition leaders who fragmented the opposition? Same people that are against rotational presidency and fought to remove a South-South son from Aso Villa in 2015. Same coalition leaders that believe that the people of the South-South have no right to the Presidency.
“Same people who believe that Rivers people and entire South-South are second class citizens.
“Why the sudden interest in Rivers State? Is their interest or their plot to use Rivers money for 2027 elections being threatened?
“The people of Rivers State should be wary of this people. Same set of people that plunged Delta State into debt as a result of the 2023 elections.
APC G3 urged the people of Rivers State to work with the Sole Administrator to restore peace.
