Luxury houses awarded to winners of President Tinubu’s mother’s Qur’an recitation competition

The President Tinubu Mother’s Qur’an Recitation Competition, organized by Senator Bashir Lado, has officially concluded after weeks of intense recitations. The competition, held in honor of Hajia Abibatu Mogaji Tinubu, the mother of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, aimed to encourage young Muslims to read and memorize the Holy Quran.

Four luxury houses were awarded to the winners, with first-place winners receiving three-bedroom houses and second-place winners receiving two-bedroom houses. The houses feature modern amenities, with three bedrooms and one parlor for first-place winners and two bedrooms and one parlor for second-place winners.

Professor Ali Muhammad, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, stated that the competition’s objective was to continue the remembrance of President Tinubu’s mother while instilling the virtues of the Holy Book in young Muslim Nigerians. The competition attracted over 100 young reciters from 44 local government areas, with participants memorizing the complete Quran.

The winners of the competition are: Maryam Abubakar Mu’az,  female, first position; Ahmad Shu’aib, make, first position, male; Zainab Hassan Shu’aib, male, second position; and

Ahmad Kabir Baturi, male, second position.

The competition was attended by prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, Emir of Daura, and former Minister Hadi Sirika. The gesture aims to encourage and motivate young Muslims to make Quranic recitation and memorization a way of life, fostering patriotic citizens for the nation’s benefit.
