The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Taraba State Council has charged the muslim ummah to continue to promote peace and tolerance with one another as this year’s celebration called for sober reflection.
The State Council chairman Comrade Peter Jediel gave the charge in Jalingo while congratulating the muslim ummah for successful completion of the 2025 Ramadan fast.
The labour boss urged muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan, calling for continued understanding, cooperation and support towards this noble objective.
“I would like to call on our muslim brothers and sisters in the state to use the occasion to strengthen the existing relationship and imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, love and respect for one another. I also appeal for tolerance, accommodation and sense of understanding among the various ethnic, religious and political groups in the state”, he stated.
Comrade Jediel assured workers in the state that labour will continue to remain resolute in its determination to ensure that workers welfare would not be taken for granted.
He solicited for collective support and prayers to enable the state governor Dr. Agbu Kefas to realize his dream of moving Taraba State to an enviable height.
The labour boss appreciated the state governor, security agents, spiritual leaders (Muslims and Christians) and the traditional ruler as well as Tarabans for making this year eid-el-fitr celebration a memorable one.
