Nwaobi had fruitful discussions with him on some socio-politico-economic future of the state.
During the visit in Abuja on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the Osumenyi born billionaire, industrialist and hospitality expert, also discussed some critical issues capable of ensuring that Prince Ukachukwu emerges victorious at the poll on November 8.
The meeting with Ukachukwu was not only strategic in finding effective methodology and mechanism towards seamless campaign period, but it was also designed to make sure nothing is left to change during the campaign.
Part of the discussions which AGBALANZE EZE-UMEAFOJURU of Osumenyi and Ezinifite Kingdom, Ambassador Nwaobi, had with the Gubernatorial candidate was the need to develop a Strong Vision, understand the state’s challenges and opportunities, identify key areas to focus on, especially education, infrastructure, healthcare and economic development.
The two eminent sons of Osumenyi, Anambra South Senatorial Zone, stressed on the criticality of effective strategy in order to be able to dislodge the incumbent governor from the Government House in Awka. They agreed that political office holders must take Responsibility, take ownership of their actions, decisions, and policies as that would help them to build trust with voters and stakeholders.
According to Hon. Nwaobi, another issue which the duo discussed was on how to manage public expectations, they maintained that managing expectations is also vital. They said that being aware of the expectations of various stakeholders, including voters, party members, and special interest groups is critical and it is vital to balance these expectations with vision and goals.
Another issue which took centre state during Chief Nwaobi’s visit was the need for honesty and transparency which is presently lacking in those who occupy strategic political positions in the state. They laid emphasis on Honest, being true to oneself and one’s values. They added that Honesty and transparency are crucial for building trust.
Further discussions also focused on the need for having listening ear and understanding the concerns and needs of his constituents by showing empathy and compassion, and being willing to listen to different perspectives.
Agbalanze disclosed further the content of his discussion with the APC Gubernatorial candidate in Anambra which include the criticality of building a strong team which they agreed was as important as working hard, showing perseverance and surrounding himself with professionals who share the same vision as he does. Chief Nwaobi said, “We agreed on the need to surround himself with experienced and dedicated professionals who share his vision. This will help him to make informed decisions and implement effective policies, work hard and persevere. Running for governor requires dedication, hard work, and resilience, be e prepared to face challenges and setbacks, and stay focused on his goals,” he added.
According to Hon Nwaobi, the discussion also dwelt on what should be the fulcrum of Ukachukwu’s campaign strategy. They looked at such qualities as integrity which would project him as a man who is committed to doing what’s right, even when it’s difficult. Showing leadership by demonstrating ability to inspire and motivate others. They also maintained that Accountability is necessary which is taking responsibility for his actions and decisions; having compassion and showing care about the wellbeing of his constituents.
Also the discussion centred on how best to engage his voters, Amb. Nwaobi and Prince Ukachukwu spoke at length on strategies to consider while engaging with voters and stakeholders. They said there is need to respect people’s boundaries.
They pinpointed out the need for having listening ear, giving people a chance to share their thoughts and concerns, as well as avoiding judging people so as to be able to focus on finding solutions rather than placing blames, and that there is need to provide long-term support and guidance to those who need it.
At the meeting Prince Ukachukwu and his visitor, Ambassador Christian Nwaobi stressed the need for somebody from Nnewi South Local Government Area to emerge as the next governor of Anambra State. They disclosed that Nnewi which has produced reputable business moguls and industrialists has never produced a governor of the state, urged Anambrarians to correct the anomaly by voting Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu because apart from coming from Nnewi South, he is also sound and well qualified.
