Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation practicalised the philosophy behind St Valentine’s Day celebrations, when it offset a hospital bills of N500,000 incured by a patient, Mrs Chinenyenwa Ugwuoke.
Mrs. Ugwuoke from Ibagwa Nsukka Enugu State, married to Mr Ugwuoke from Ohaozala, Ebonyi State had incurred the hospital bills after an hysterectomy surgery was performed on her at St. Benedict Hospital and Maternity, Nnewi, Anambra State.
All her efforts to get financial assistance from families, friends and relatives did not produce any fruitful result, until this succour came through.
Hope came the way of Mrs Ugwuoke when the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, Chief Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo(Omepuruchukwu Anaedo) was contacted on her behalf.
Chief Nsoedo without hesitation, visited the patient in the hospital and actually offset the bills incured .
The hospitalized mother of four could not hold back her tears when the foundation cleared all the accumulated hospital bills she incured.
She said that at first, she thought she was in a dream and that she actually made several efforts to wake up from her sleep, only for her to realize that it was not a dream but a sweet reality.
Omepuruchukwu Anaedo, a man of action and few words said that the main purpose for celebration of St Valentine’s Day is to put smiles on people’s faces.
Chief Nsoedo said that it has become imperative for the affluent persons in the society to learn to extend a helping hand to the needy and the less privileged persons because of the current economic reality in Nigeria.
