Kingibe, who represents FCT in the 10th Senate (elected on the Labour Party platform), had accused Wike of ignoring her concerns on Abuja’s insecurity and water scarcity.

Speaking during a media parley in Abuja, on Monday, Wike said Kingibe since assumption of office in 2023 till date has “no project to show”.

According to Kingibe, FCT residents are facing water scarcity alongside other challenges.

But Wike, who first pledged in 2024 that Kingibe would not return to the Senate, reiterated his words.

“I had said it more than one year ago, Senator Ireti, you won’t come back as a senator. That’s why you people don’t like people who tell you the truth. It’s bitter. Let her show one project,” Wike stated.
