The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has promised Kuje people more projects as compensation for their support to President Bola Tinubu.
Wike was responding to requests from Gomo of Kuje Haruna Tanko and chairman-elect Danjuma Shekwolo on roads during a thank-you visit for the Feb 21, 2026 election success, on Thursday.
He said the Kuje-Pegi, Kuje- Gwargwarda -Kuje- Rubochi, and Kuje to Kabi roads will be considered as the chairman -elect is sworn -in by June.
“I heard your request, but till after the swearing -in of the chairman -elect, I will invite the traditional ruler and the chairman to know which of the road to start with”
Wike commended the people for supporting Tinubu’s led administration, calling on them to reject emergency democrats that will come to decieve them in the name of seeking for support.
He called on the chairman -elect, Danjuma Shekwolo to listen to his people when he assumes office.
“Don’t be an away chairman when you assume office, listen to demands of your people” Wike said.
Earlier, Danjuma Shekwolo who commended the Minister for his support which made him won the election appealed to him to construct the key roads to help ease transportation in rural areas.
“Sir, help us to construct the three key roads that will help to grow the economy of Kuje; from Gwargwarda to Kuje, from Kuje to Rubochi, and from Kuje to Kabi” Shekwolo said.
