A widow battling cancer, Mrs. Sandra Onuora, has appealed to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to intervene over the alleged sale of her late husband’s property in Apo District, Abuja, to a prominent cleric despite a subsisting court order.
Onuora alleged that the Managing Director of Supercell Estate, Alhaji Idris Shuaibu, and the estate administrator, Uchenna Duru, conspired to sell the uncompleted property to Bishop David Ogudu, General Overseer of Christos International Worship Centre, for N70 million.
She said the action is in defiance of an order of the FCT High Court restraining any transaction on the disputed property.
The cancer – stricken widow described the house as the only major inheritance left by her late husband, Eugene Onuora, for her and their children.
According to the widow, the estate administrator approached her in May 2026 with an offer of N70 million, allegedly urging her to relinquish the property or risk losing it.
She further alleged that Bishop Ogudu, who she claimed already owns three properties within the estate, took possession of the building by removing its roof and commencing reconstruction under the protection of estate security personnel.
The widow also alleged that workers at the site were instructed to flee whenever police officers visited the property to avoid detection.
She further claimed that building materials valued at over N20 million, including floor tiles, electrical cables, kitchen fittings and sanitary wares left by her late husband, disappeared from the compound.
Questioning how the items could allegedly be removed from a gated estate without the knowledge of the management, Mrs. Onuora called for a thorough investigation into the matter.
The widow urged authorities to enforce the court order, halt ongoing work on the property, investigate the alleged sale, and protect widows from what she described as illegal dispossession of their family assets in the FCT.
“Mr. Uchenna told me they had a buyer willing to pay N70 million and advised me to collect the money and walk away because I couldn’t fight Alhaji Idris Shuaibu.
“I rejected the offer because the house is our family inheritance and is not for sale.”
Mrs. Onuora claimed that despite her refusal and the subsisting court order, the estate management proceeded with the sale” Onuora said.
