President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday ordered the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries following the discovery of another fake agency operating within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, disclosed this to State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to Aliyu, the agency was operating under the name National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, prompting immediate administrative action by the Federal Government.
The suspended Permanent Secretaries are M.S. Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard Pheelangwah, the ICPC chairman said.
The development comes amid heightened scrutiny of government ministries, departments and agencies as the Tinubu administration intensifies efforts to identify and dismantle fraudulent, unauthorised or duplicate structures within the federal bureaucracy.
