Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, urging them to reflect on the virtues and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Gboyega Akosile, urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s life of kindness, compassion, patience and integrity and apply these values in their daily lives.
The governor described the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a model for peaceful coexistence, unity and societal progress.
He said: “As we mark Eid-el-Maulud, I extend my warmest wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters across Lagos.
“The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remind us of the importance of kindness, patience and compassion towards one another.
“May our homes be filled with joy, and may Allah continue to guide and bless our state and country.
“I pray for peace, unity, and progress in our state and country.”
