The youth Committee of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has sensitised youth in Abuja on the need to steer clear of illicit drugs, cybercrimes and other ill deeds in the society.
During the 2022 first quarter of youth security awareness forum held at the weekend, the Coordinator PCRC Youth Committee Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Engr Junaid Olatunji Victor said youth must be disciplined in all their endeavours to portray the country in a good light.
He said the committee is keen on youth sensitisation as one of it majors in collaborating with the Police and other security agencies to curb cybercrime at all levels.
The Coordinator called on the FCT youth to be good ambassadors that will always project potential of the Federal Capital Territory and Nigeria to the world, and not bad conduct.
Victor explained that bringing the young minds together under a well organised setting would help support Police fight against crime.
According to him, “The quarterly security awareness forum is a platform for sensitisation and enlightenment of the youth crime.
“Reports have shown that youth generally are prone to different kind of ill activities in the society like drug abuse and social vices that lead them to jail”

She said: “Our programmes are tailored towards youth sensitisation, it will help them know the implications of crime” Ajayi said.
