The Lead of Nelson Iheagwam Ministries, Nelson Iheagwam has acknowledged the intervention of God when his ministry had some initial challenges.
“The challenge I had at the beginning, was the difficulty with many people being unable to commit to a work of God that was just starting. As the Lord began to help us, we grew, and have people serve God committedly with us. It is the Lord that has granted us the increase away from initial challenges”.
The convener of ‘Supernatural Class” also recounted how he started out in ministry.
“I’ve been seriously serving the Lord since my secondary school days and leading up to my days at Covenant University. Loving God, chasing His leadings, fellowshipping with fellow Christians, praying for people, and teaching people. I just wanted to do all that God will have me do. I’ve been hosting meetings since school, and then after school, God led me to bring it all under one umbrella, and this birthed Nelson Iheagwam Ministries. I got ordained in 2021. For music, I could always sing, and carry a tune, however, songs started dropping into my heart during my time of personal devotions and prayers, and also during meetings. New songs were birthed, and then we would usually just record them with our phones and replay them over streams till we could record”.
Asked why he chose to become a Pastor, he said:”Being a Pastor is not something I just wanted to do, It is what God has called me to be. I had other things I could do with my life, but for me, when God speaks, other things give way”.
