The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Mrs. Lizzy Nwokeocha, along with the APGA state women leaders from the Southeast and South-south regions of Nigeria have expressed their preparedness to move the party to greater heights.
The women made the resolve during their meeting at the APGA Regional Secretariat Awka, Anambra State.
Recognizing the indispensable role women play in nation-building, the leaders strategized on ways to enhance the party’s grassroot influence and impact across all sectors of society.
The APGA National women leader, Barr. Mrs. Lizzy Nwokeocha during the meeting emphasized the party’s commitment to empowering women, promoting gender equality, and ensuring their active involvement in the political landscape.
She said, “Women are the backbone of any successful society, and APGA stands resolute in its support of women’s rights and aspirations. We believe in their potential to drive positive change, and we are dedicated to creating an environment where women can excel – politically, economically, and socially.”
The wife of the APGA National Chairman, Mrs. Amara Ezeokenwa, underscored why APGA remains the preferred choice of the people, particularly the youths.
She highlighted the political ideology that serves as the foundation of APGA, which encompasses good governance, prosperity for all, quality education, healthcare, security, and the principle of being our brothers’ and sisters’ keeper.
The ideologies according to her are exemplified in the works of Gov Charles Soludo who is the National Leader of APGA.
Anambra State women leader, Hon Mrs Esther Onyekesi on behalf of the State women leaders from Southeast and South-south expressed their collective resolve to build strong alliances and foster unity within the party.
