The new Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami, Sami Gomo III, has praised Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, calling him a “God-sent messiah” to the people of Zuru Emirate.
A statement issued by the Sadaukin Zuru, Abdullahi Idris Zuru on Tuesday said the Emir expressed his gratitude for the governor’s fairness, justice, and transparency in administering the state while receiving traditional rulers and religious leaders on congratulatory visit to the palace.
As an individual, he said Governor Idris upheld the decision of the kingmakers and approved the Emir’s appointment as the 12th Emir of Zuru.
To the family of Sami Gomo, the governor personally coordinated the medical treatment of the late Emir Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo II at a London hospital and ensured a befitting burial.
The Emir appreciated the governor’s efforts in reconstructing the Koko-Zuru federal road, which has benefited the emirate.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero visited the Emir to congratulate him on his appointment. Other notable traditional rulers who visited the Emir include the Emirs of Talata Mafara, Bukkuyum, and the Madakin Bauchi.
The family of the Chief Imam, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Tanko, also paid a congratulatory visit to the Emir.
The Emir has assured that the people of Zuru Emirate will remain prayerful and supportive of Governor Idris’ endeavors, the statement concluded.
