Renowned transformation strategist and IT project governance specialist, Ayodele Akinpelu, has received the 2022 Industry Transformation Leadership Award from the Institute for Commerce Research and Enterprise Development (ICRED).

The honour acknowledges her exemplary leadership in advancing business process intelligence, digital service management, and organizational transformation across multiple sectors.

Akinpelu’s contributions span more than fifteen years across government innovation, technology deployment, and strategic program delivery. The award committee cited her ability to blend policy insight with technical execution, making her one of the continent’s most influential voices in public sector modernization.

Speaking at the virtual ceremony, Akinpelu expressed gratitude to the institute and emphasized the importance of aligning innovation with national development goals.

“Transformation must be measurable, inclusive, and citizen-centered,” she said.

Her achievements include establishing maturity-driven PMO frameworks at Nerizon Limited in Montreal from March 2021, where she led process optimization initiatives that improved project ROI and portfolio visibility.

She was also recognized for delivering high-level training to government agencies and private-sector institutions on BPMN-based automation, digital transformation strategy, compliance, and performance systems design.

The committee particularly highlighted her series of widely published articles on public sector efficiency, digital government, and process intelligence. Her writings continue to influence strategic planning discussions across ministries, academia, and international development organizations.
