Senate President Godswill Akpabio has announced automatic employment for the two sons of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hussani Ibrahim, who died in a tragic accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Sunday. Akpabio made the announcement on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, eulogizing the late officer as a man who deeply understood the value of work and service.

DSP Ibrahim, who served as Akpabio’s rider, was buried according to Islamic rites. The Senate President extended his sympathies to the bereaved family, the Inspector General of Police, and the Nigeria Police Force, describing the officer as “courageous, fearless, and daring”.

The Senate also honoured Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur, a dedicated driver who passed away recently, observing a minute silence in honour of both deceased and praying for the repose of their souls.

Akpabio’s gesture aims to support the family of the late officer, honouring his legacy and sacrifice. The announcement has been met with appreciation from colleagues and the police force .
