The personnel will be deployed to identified flashpoints, including shopping malls, Eid prayer grounds, mosques, churches, motor parks, and recreation centers. Both uniformed and undercover operatives will monitor these areas to prevent criminal activity.
Provosts of Colleges, Zonal Commanders, and State Commandants have been mandated to provide adequate security coverage in their respective areas. The Commandant General emphasized the need for intensified routine patrols and sustained synergy with other security agencies through effective information sharing and swift response to emergency situations.
The NSCDC boss urged parents and guardians to caution their children and wards to stay clear of trouble and avoid being used to foment violence. Specialized units, including the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad and Special Female Squad, have been put on high alert to respond to emerging threats.
The public is urged to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious movement or activities to the nearest security formation.
