Ihiala HR 2027: Barr Maduakolam meets steakholders, as APGA debunks claims of endorsement of incumbent

From Ifeoma Ejiofor Nnewi

A legal luminary, Barr Akachukwu Maduakolam over the weekend formally declared his intention to represent Ihiala federal constituency at the House of Representatives.

Barr Maduakolam made the declaration during a stakeholders meeting of the federal constituency which held at Ihiala LGA Council Secretariat.

The meeting availed the frontline House of Representatives aspirant to highlight his agenda for the constituents.

Barr Maduakolam as a matter of fact assured ndi-Ihiala that he would give them a quality and responsive representation everyone of them would be proud of.

He briefly highlighted some of the interventions he has used his CLEAN Ihiala and JAMIE pet Projects to positively impact his people using personal resources.

The meeting had gone on with the stakeholders applauding Chief Barr Maduakolam when the Secretary for Ihiala LGA, Hon Chinedu Aribodor, who is alleged to be an aide to the incumbent lawmaker, pointed out that certain elements had endorsed the reelection of the incumbent, Hon Pascal Agbodike.

The hall was spontaneously thrown into uproar as the stakeholders shouted down the Secretary that there was nothing like that.

It took the prompt intervention of the Mayor of the Council, Hon Anayo Orjiakor to assuage frail nerves as stated emphatically that there was nothing like what the Secretary claimed in the LGA.

He firmly restated that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has not endorsed any candidate for the House of Representatives seat, contrary to claims circulating in the LGA.

Hon Orjiakor expressed the commitment of APGA to transparency, unity, and internal democracy as political activities continue to unfold.

The stakeholders who attended the meeting described the alleged endorsement as false, inaccurate, and not representative of the party’s official position.

They collectively emphasized that the party remains committed to due process, in line with the leadership principles of Gov Charles Soludo, and has not endorsed any aspirant at this stage.

The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the Mayor of Ihiala LGA, the APGA Chairman in Ihiala, House of Representatives aspirant Chief (Barr.) Akachukwu Maduakolam, PhD, Hon Chinedu Ukachukwu (former mayor), Hon Barth Awugosi (former mayor) and other party executives.
