The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, has sustained its counter-terrorism operations with a decisive air interdiction strike on terrorist enclaves in the Mandara Mountains.
The operation, conducted on 27 April 2026 at Guduf, followed credible intelligence that identified the location as a major hub for insurgent activities in the area.
Further Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions confirmed the presence of multiple terrorist structures and logistics facilities, prompting a coordinated response by NAF air assets.
Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, confirmed the development, stating that the strikes were executed with precision and strict adherence to rules of engagement to minimise civilian casualties and environmental impact.
He added that the operation led to the destruction of key terrorist infrastructure, significantly degrading their operational capability, and reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to denying terrorists freedom of action and safeguarding national security.
