One of the private universities in Abuja, Cosmopolitan University, has restated its commitment to upholding academic integrity and delivering quality education following the National Universities Commission’s full accreditation of nine academic programmes.
In a statement released on Thursday, the institution’s registrar, Dr. Mani Ibrahim, said the achievement marks an important phase in the university’s development and underscores its resolve to sustain high educational standards while fostering a globally competitive learning environment.
The university explained that the accreditation exercise came after an extensive evaluation by the NUC, which examined areas including academic staffing, curriculum standards and infrastructural capacity.
According to the institution, the successful accreditation confirms that its academic operations meet the regulatory requirements for quality tertiary education in Nigeria.
“Achieving this recognition from the primary regulatory body is a significant step forward in the university’s growth and its mission to build a world-class academic environment,” the statement reads.
The university further stated that it would continue to strengthen investments in research, learning facilities and other resources aimed at advancing academic excellence and supporting students’ overall development.
It also commended students and parents for their continued trust and support, while reaffirming its commitment to transparency, diligence and efficient service delivery.
“As we look toward the future, Cosmopolitan University remains deeply committed to academic integrity, institutional growth, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge,” Ibrahim said.
The institution added that the accreditation serves as validation that its academic systems, operational processes and learning environment conform to national standards designed to produce skilled and employable graduates.
It noted that the approvals also consolidate its reputation as a hub for intellectual and professional advancement in the country.
