The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on Saturday posed a five star performance as the party won all the twenty one council Chairmen position.
The party also won all the three hundred and twenty six positions for ward Councilors.
Though the election would have been a one sided game but for the participation of Young Progressives Party in the election at Anambra East LGA of the State.
YPP has however alleged that the process in Anambra East LGA was far from being fair credible noting that the party’s faithful were scared away from polling units gunshots.
The Public Relations Officer of YPP in Anambra East LGA said as a matter of fact all the large number of people who willingly came out to vote for the candidates of the party had to scamper for safety.
In Nnewi North LGA , Hon Echezona Anazodo the incumbent chairman was reelected with fifty six thousand, five hundred and six votes.
All the ten Ward Councilors in the one town local government area were also reelected alongside the Chairman, Hon Anazodo.
The Returning Officer (RO) for Nnewi North LGA Prof Uche Ojukwu of the Political Science Department, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu announced the result.
Meanwhile, the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State has heartily congratulated all the newly elected Chairmen and Councillors of the 21 LGAs and 326 Wards their successful election Saturday.
Chief Great Ikechukwu Ugwuoke, the President General(PG) Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State ANISA/ANIAS) signed the congratulatory message.
