The Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Titus Uba, on Tuesday bagged an award as “Beacon of Hope for a Better Tomorrow in Legislatorship”.
The Representative of the Kingdom Life University, United States of America (USA) in Nigeria, Bishop Benjamin Utor presented the award to Uba at the assembly complex in Makurdi.
The university representative said that Uba was singled out for the award because of his proven track record.
“He is given the award because of his contributions to quality legislation and not because he is a speaker.
”He is a sound legislator. He has distinguished himself in several spheres particularly in the area of legislation,” he said.
Utor said that the university was a Christian based institution in the United States of America (USA) but it also offer some circular programmes too.
Responding, the speaker, appreciated the university for the award, stressing that it would spur him to do more for the society.
