Social restriction order: FCT police vow to ensure compliance

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has vowed to ensure compliance to the social restriction order of the federal government .

The Command Spokesman, Manzah Anjuguri , who disclosed that yesterday, said that the command is currently collaborating with Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to ensure residents adhere strictly with the government directives.

It would be recalled that few days ago, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, charged command commissioners of the police to ensure compliance of the social restriction order in their areas of jurisdiction.

“While complying with the recent directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, on arrest and detention of suspects and adherence to necessary precautionary measures against Covid -19 at all Police Divisions and formations, the Command wishes to avail FCT residents with the following Police distress call lines;- 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.

“Members of the public in distress can promptly contact the Command Control room through any of the above mentioned distress call lines.

“Similarly, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Bala Ciroma has mandated the Command Medical Officer to embark on enlightenment campaign at all Police Area Commands, Divisions and the Command Headquarters to educate police officers and men on precautions to observe in order to contain the spread of covid-19.”
