COVID-19: 5, 697 Health Workers Volunteer To Fight The Pandemic In Kano

Over 107 Medical Doctors are among 5, 697 health workers who have voluntarily offered their services to curb the menace of the dreaded COVID-19 in Kano.

This followed a call by the state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for retires Doctors, Nurses na d other medical personnel to join hands with the state government to fight the pandemic.

The AUTHORITY reports that Kano is yet to record any case of COVID-19 as scores of patients who have passed through Corona Virus test in Kano, all came out negative.

According to Special Adviser to Ganduje on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, 5, 697 health workers have registered for the Kano Covid-19 volunteer scheme so far, among whom are 107 medical doctors.

Yakasai, through his verified twitter handle @dawisu said that the breakdown included 440 nurses, and 84 pharmacists.

He added that 490 laboratory technicians and 2,690 environmental health officers have also registered to render services to Kano state and humanity.

“A huge thank you to all those that volunteered. This data is useful even after Covid-19, ” he added.
