The Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency has enrolled and issued out Health Insurance Identification cards to not less than 500 students of the state polytechnic.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Gaza Gwamna on Wednesday at the school Hall in Lafia ,said it was targeted at ensuring that students are captured for accessing medicals at their choice facilities in the state.
According to him, the service of NHIS is not limited only to the public health care facility but all inclusive, involving private health care providers, once such a student has met the standard.
Dr Gwamna revealed that only students who had paid their school fees have guarantee on accessing NHIA for a period of one year.
He added that only accredited health care facility with primary health care service, urging them to make use of the nearest facility that has made the standard of the agency.
The executive Secretary appreciated the management of the polytechnic for taking the giant step by opening her doors to the services of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency.
