Nigeria shuts airspace to international flights

Effective Monday, the 23rd of March, 2020, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA says its closing down all its Airports to all international flights.

Recall that in an earlier statement it released yesterday, it had announced restrictions of international flights only to the Dr Nnamdi Azikwe Internatiinal Airport and rhe Murtala Muhammed International airport

However in another statement released today and signed by the Director General, NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, all airports will be shut down to all international flights for a month in the first instance.

He stated that only emergency and essential flights will be exempted from this restriction while domesric flights will continue operations at all airports .
