COVID-19:Abia state lawmaker provides palliatives for indigent in Ikwuano

By Jonathan Lois

As the lockdown imposed in various states of the federation, following the spread of the deadly coronavirus persists, a member of the Abia state house of Assembly, representing Ikwuano state constituency, Honorable Stanley Nwabuisi, has joined federal cabinet ministers, House of Representatives members and top business moguls in the country in providing palliatives for the people

Hon Nwabuisi who had responded to the needs of the community described as an agrarian and low income people, said his immediate intervention is to salvage the people from the emergent hunger occasioned by the lockdown and the Coronavirus epidemic

He said, “The shutdown had been long expected since the advent of the dreaded Corona Virus. Nations had been locked down; states alike. It was only a matter of time, Abia could join the list; so the call for a lockdown was also a beginning of unprecedented hunger and starvation’’, while presenting, Tubers of yams, Cartons of Noodles, Tomatoes, Soap and Hand Sanitizers to the people.

He assured that the plight of the people was his responsibility and will never look back at whatever forms of empowerment at his disposal to provide for them, irrespective of party affiliations.
