New Imo LG PDP chairman promises new order

The newly sworn in Chairman of the party in Njaba Council Area of the Imo state, Hon. Chidi Arinmuta has promised a new order in the party that would move it out of what he described as playing a “forced opposition role” in Imo state

The new chairman, who expressed his dissatisfaction that the party is playing the role of opposition and noted that he has a clear mission and vision of rebuilding the party to be the strongest and enviable political party in the local government area ahead of 2023 general elections.

Arimnuta disclosed this at the party Secretariat at Nnenasaa, during the linauguration of the 17 man local government chapter executive.

According to the political icon “This can no longer be business as usual. There must be discipline and respect to democratic process. I am on a mission to rebuild PDP as the strongest party in Njaba Local Government Area. The vision of reclaiming the party mandates in 2023 is a task that must be accomplished and to achieve these, all strategic efforts and plans must start today.

“The era of impunity and anti-party activities is gone. The party administration must be open and all inclusive. We cannot afford to be in opposition again. All hands must be on desk in our efforts to restore People’s trust and confidence in our party” he assured.

He also promised to carry all the willing executive members along and strongly condemned any act of division, bickering and wrangling geared towards destabilization of the mission and vision of the party.

The astute politician equally admonished the executive members on the need to always be open and asked questions instead of instigating mischief often anchored on falsehood and rumours, further assured of his commitments of giving due respect to leaders of the party and to open bank account to the chapter and similarly to direct the ward executives to do the same, the essence he said is to guarantee accountability and transparency.

In their remarks, some of the leaders of the party in attendance like Hon Kevin Obioha, former House member, Ichie Ray Marshall Ezihe, former LGA Chairman of the party and Hon Uche Rajis, the former Transition Committee Chairman of the council area described the new executive members as people of implicit confidence, pedigree and integrity.
