In its bid to reduce the unemployment ills in the country, the Kogi State coordinator of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mallam Zakari Abubakar on Tuesday in Lokoja, said the directorate has engaged another batch of 50 unemployed graduates under her graduate attachment programme in Kogi State.
The state coordinator who stated this during the inauguration of the successful participants said they were selected across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State and would be deployed to various corporate organisations and agencies for three months attachment programme during which they will be paid monthly stipends.
Mallam Abubakar, enjoined them to put in their best in service and to be of good behaviour throughout their short duration as their attitude may endear them for a permanent job by the host agencies.
In his address, the Director- General of NDE, Dr Nasiru Mohammed Argungu Ladan, who was represented by Pastor Phillip Momoh said that he is committed to creating jobs for the teeming youths in fulfilment of the mandate of NDE and desire of President Mohammadu Buhari.
Responding, one of the participants, Gbamis Oluwatobi Solomon thanked the management of NDE and the Federal Government in particular for giving them the opportunity to practice what they have learnt in school.
