Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa state has declared the emergence of former Governor Seriake Dickson and immediate past chairman of the PDP in the state, Moses Cleopas, as PDP candidates for the October 31 Bayelsa Central and Bayelsa West senatorial bye election respectively as the strongest team for the party
The governor in a statement by his Acting Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, expressed his satisfaction with the conduct of the primary, which he declared transparent and peaceful
While expressing confidence that PDP will emerge victorious at the polls, the governor also called on members of the party to close ranks and work for the success of its candidates
“You will attest to the fact that the primary was very orderly, transparent and fair. I am very sure that everybody is satisfied with the conduct. PDP is always throwing up the best candidates.”
