Nasarawa Council boss spends N120m on rural development

The chairman Keana local government area of Nasarawa state, Hon. Adamu Adigiza, has said he has committed the sum of N120m on rural electrification projects and constriction of the paramount ruler’s palace in the council

The council boss, who spoke to The AUTHORITY in Lafia at the weekend on his first term achievements, noted that seeking a second time of office will be determined by the people, even as he added that his achievements are enough to giving him a second term.

He noted that completion of the projects would be his joy, not minding whether he would be re elected to the office or not, adding that bringing electricity to communities of Keana,Giza and Kadarko would be his greatest achievements in office.

“As I speak to you the rural electrification project is 70% completed, the one in Keana, which is at the Osana of keana’s palace is about is also nearing completion.

“With that, if the people deem it fit to have me come back as their chairman for a second tenure, I will not hesitate” Giza added.

He further stated that he initiated a truce among the communities in Benue and Nasarawa states, which he said has ended the lingering crisis between the TIV’s and the Fulani, through agreeing on a natural boundary, as against the administrative boundary which had existed in the past.

“This is why today a boundary commission for Nasarawa state had been inaugurated to identified our natural boundaries” He added.
