From Blessing Ibunge, Port Harcourt
The Rivers State Police Command has arrested the most wanted alleged kidnapper, armed robber and murderer, Honest Digbara, popularly known as Bobisky.
It would be recalled that the state Governor, Nyesom Wike, had placed a N30 million ransom on Bobisky, a native of Nwibara community in Gokana, who was alleged to have been terrorising the Ogoni axis and its environs.
Operatives of the police command led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), of Bori Police Divisional Headquarter in Khana, SP Bako Angbashim, with support from vigilance group in Tai Local Government Area (TaiOSPAC), made the arrest.
Following tip-off, security stormed a burial ceremony in Korokoro Tai, where Bobisky was hired for security purpose at about 2:30am (Saturday).
Eyewitnesses said that on sighting the police and TAIOSPAC, Bibisky along with his gang members opened fire on police.
But the police and TAIOSPAC members over powered his gang, killing his (Bobisky) brother who, was his “pilot” (Okada rider), leading to his arrested.
It is alleged that Bobisky and his gang have been responsible for the killing of several people in Ogoni, especially those who opposed his actions.
