Officials from the Republic of Korea have trained some staff of the FCT education secretariat on policy and program management.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the capacity program for the various Education officials from different areas ,the Country Director,Mr Woochan Chang said, Korea international Cooperation Agency Koica) planned the Capacity Building to boost the morale of students.
He described it has Fellowship program which commenced last year and is designed for 3years( 2020 -2022) with initial 15 participants trained last year where FCT officials participated but it was increased to 22 participants drawn from various Education Ministries of Government because of the importance and impact of the program in improving and addressing the gaps in the Education sector.
Chang explained that the initiative is to continue to strengthen the skills, knowledge and techniques on the Education Policy and Management of Nigeria.
He stated that, the participants as policy makers are key stakeholders and the training is neccessary to shape the Education policy in Nigeria as they are familiar with the Nigerian environment and system.
He said, Koica has been supporting Nigeria with e- learning Education and also involved in multimedia training in other states of the Federation.
