Enconmium as AGCI marks 11 years of God’s faithfulness

It was a banqueth of euphoria as the Awesome and Glorious Church International Incorporated (AGCI), Kurudu, Abuja, on Saturday, July 10, 2021celebrated her eleventh (11) year anniversary. The event took place at the Church’s new Auditorium and witnessed a large turn out of worshipers and guests alike.

While welcoming guests and worshippers at the epochal even, the host pastor and president of the church, Pastor Mrs Lydia Atayo Esehoghene expressed her joy that God has kept faith with His promise to her concerning the ministry.

She stated that it was a miracle that came through for her to build the auditorium in a record one year even when there was no money to procure the land when the vision first came.

She said that God has honoured His word when He directed her to move from Life Camp to Kurudu to establish as she has through the huge support of her husband, Engr Israel Esehoghene, built a befitting place of worship for God.

She asked the church and everyone present to commend and thank her wonderful and supportive husband for the feat attained.

The welcome speech and exhortation was followed by a music rendition by the choir and other groups in the church. Indeed, it was an evening of songs as different groups, at every twist and turns, rendered mind blowing renditions that led to different dancing steps and swinging of hips. First was the general choir that played different genres of music.

It was followed by a presentation by the children choir who gave a very good account of themselves musically, considering their age brackets. Then, special choir and numerous other presentations.

The special guest of honour at the occasion was Pastor Matthew Ojo who declared that the ministry is entering its new phase of greatness.

Pastor Ono dwelt on the promises God made to prophet Jeremiah in the Bible. He declared that God has handed the area and its environs to Pastor Mrs Esehoghene and her ministry prophesying that in the next one year, the church will witness a beehive of activities that every one will want to be identified with.

He however said, he would not wait for one year before he would make a return journey to see things for himself.

He enjoined everyone present to align with the faith that saw the church built and completed in a year to their individual endeavour and see the enormous turn around in their endeavors.

The guest lecturer for the day, Pastor Christopher Dyaji who spoke on the theme “The Family as the Care unit of Christ Church” told the audience that the church must insist on the existence of every family according to God pattern. According to him, a family is not formed between two men, two women, a man and many wives on between a boy and a girl.

Pastor Dyaji who is also a lawyer, cautioned the church to be wary of those propagating lesbianism, homosexuality and the likes. He explained that God deals with nations, generations and human beings using the family unit to convey His career, love and purposes for them.

”God is the architect and foundation of marriage and therefore, He has a pattern structure for it existence in order for it to fulfill it purpose. The family have its God’s ordained foundation and structure in God”, he submitted.

He also admonished families to be responsible and meet up with responsibilities at home so that the church will not be overburdened with running welfare programs for uncared family members who are members of the church.

The host pastor and President of the church, Pastor (Mrs) Lydia Atayo Esehoghene took the audience on a memory lane on the various landmark events by the ministry, countless testimonies and God faithfulness on the congregation. Guests were treated with mouth watering entertainment specially prepared for the occasion.


The 11th year anniversary was indeed eleven years of God’s faithfulness.
