‘ It will also show how best to utilize such intense passion on decisions relating to development and promotion of local talents in football, youths, tourism, local businesses, and urban planning interests; most especially on formulation of purposeful and sustainable grassroots football/ general sports development policies by the government”, he stated.
.”We’ve equally resolved to use the theme of the congress: “ECHEZONA NKEANYI” and other strategic programs of the project to remind ourselves that indeed charity begins at home and that while foreign replacements of big football stars like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo etc are daily being discovered and nurtured through a well structured grassroots football development program; our government and private sector must equally in the spirit of “ECHEZONA NKEANYI” quickly harness our budding local stars”.
Udegbunam also announced that all the Governorship aspirants in the state will be invited to the event to tell Anambra youths the plans they have for sports development as the November Governorship election of the state draws closer.
