Community leader fingers Uzodimma of Military arson on Awomama

Followiing Military’s invasion and burning of houses and property in Awomamma community in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State Monday, a community leader, Chief Reuben Nzeribe, has blamed the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, of being instrumental to the mayhem unleashed to the community.He stated that Awomamma shares boundary with Uzodimma’s Omuma Oyoko community. 
Nzeribe who is a victim  of the military rascality disclosed this to The AUTHORITY while lamenting the losses he incurred by the burning of his shop and wares.
According to him “it’s our brother Governor Hope Uzodimma that is causing us these pains. “The Army would not have done what they did without the approval of the state governor who’s the chief security officer. “We are in the same local government area with the Governor and we are sharing a common boundary. We’re kith and kins of Oru ancestry dynasty” he insisted.

It’s pertinent to know that the alleged killing of  a military personnel on Monday in the area by those allegedly trying to impose and implement the discredited sit-at-home  order the soldiers thus regrouped and launched reprisal attack on the community.

Witnesses said the soldier was killed by yet to be identified assailants at Ishieke junction, Awomama in Oru East LGA of Imo State.

The military attacked and burnt down a hotel. They also torched cars, houses, killing people and  burnt down seven shops along the road.

The incident represents the highlight of efforts made to finally lay the sit-at-home order to rest in the Southeast.

There were reported clashes as those who claimed to be enforcing the order accosted and molested motorists in the area.
