National peace tour kicks off in Abuja

A national peace tour that will be used as a sensitization vehicle to promote peace in the six geopolitical zones of the federation and FCT has taken off in Abuja.                              The epoch making event, a brain child of T-Concept studios,took place on February 9 at the conference hall of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Abuja. The MD/CEO of the organization, Hon. Dan Nanlir Tali in his opening speech stated that the event which is another milestone in the life of our nation is aimed at honouring some living legends that have impacted the country positively in diverse areas of selfless services towards promoting the corporate coexistence of the nation. He added that it was staged to flag off the National Peace Tour and inducting some deserving Nigerians into the National Peace Hall of Fame. Hon. Dan Tali asserted that in this trying times of the nation when carnage of unrest is ravaging the country and impeding our growth impeded development, the organization decided to embark on a national peace tour that will be a symbol of unity in the country. He enjoined all handsome to be on deck in the effort to correct the past and put the nation back on the part of our days of glory. He called on Nigerians to appreciate the sacrifices of our gallant officers and security agency’s in their efforts in keeping the unity we are enjoying today. The National Coordinator of the organization, Amb. Vincent Omoko stated that the core value of the National Peace Tour is to sustain peace and touch lives positively through empowerment programmes and community development. He revealed that coordinators have been appointed to replicate the programme in their various states to reach the grassroots. The Executive Secretary, Social Development Secretariat, represented by Mrs. Asebe Umar, Director Youths commended the group for thinking of peace, not only in Nigeria but for men and women of all races. ” Peace must be genuine and dynamic which is why the FCT is partnering with T-Concept Studios in making the project a reality”. The Patron of the Peace Tour, Major Andrew Ambeson (rtd.) asserted in his remarks that peace is very important in the life of a nation, without which there will be no development in the country and called for all to unite and bring peace and harmony to the nation. The Kaduna State  Coordinator, Amb. Mohammed Abdulraham emphasized the usefulness of peace hall of fame that is good to bonour our heroes and encourage others to follow in their footsteps. The Benue State Coordinator, Hon. Robert Udende also commended the organization and promised to make the project big in Benue state by mobilizing the youths to join hands with T-Concept Studios to promote peace in the state. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the hall fame banner by Mr. Harry of T- Concept Studios.
