2023: Ortom insist on power shift to South as Wike declares for presidency 

Governor Nyesom Wike of  Rivers state  has finally made public his next line of action ahead of the 2023 presidential elections, as he on Sunday  declared  his intention to  run for presidential ticket under the banner of people’s Democratic Party (PDP). 

Gov. Wike made known his resolution at the Benue Governor’s  Lodge in Makurdi, the Benue State capital  .

Wike met with the Governor Samuel 0rtom and  some major stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), behind closed door for several hours. 

“Though details of the meeting was not made known, however shortly after the meeting, the Rivers State Governor told journalists that his desire  includes to tackle insecurity and stabilise the economy towards enhancing quality of  live among Nigerians  .

He however maintained that if the mantle of leadership is given to him, Nigerians should within the six months of the administration expected to see a total transformation of overhauling infrastructural decay in the areas of education, electricity, reconstruction roads, including rehabilitation of  equipping hospitals with drugs across the nation. 

Earlier, Governor Samuel Ortom enjoined the stakeholders to support his aspiration, stressing that during 2018 at the time humanitarian crises,” he did so much to  cushion the  devastating condition faceed by my people were going through at that time..

Governor  Ortom further maintained his earlier statement and position on  power rotation to Southern part of the country come 2023,
