An Azia based legal practitioner, and House of Representatives hopeful, Johmnary Akachukwu Maduakolam, has assured that regular constituency briefing would be a constant feature of his tenure.
Barr Maduakolam in an interactive session with journalists pointed out that constituency briefing is parts of the inalienable rights of people.
“As representative of my people, I hold regular constituency briefing, so that I can use the occasion of such briefings to intimate them of what I am doing in Abuja. It will also be an avenue for us as a people to agree on what position we should hold on certain national issues.
“The truth is that as representative of the people, constant interface with the the people who freely give me their mandate would not be compromised. I will not abandon them after the election.” Barr Maduakolam explained.
He expressed worry that governance in the country has been reduced to a top-bottom approach where duty bearers behave as if they have monopoly of knowledge and wisdom.
“We are coming up with CLEAN project which is a comprehensive blueprint for which we intend to give Ihiala people a responsible and responsive representation in the National Assembly.
“I must appreciate Ndi-Ihiala for the unflinching support they have demonstrated for me since this journey to go and represent them in House of Representatives began. It has been massive and my promise is that I will not let them down.” He asserted.
