PDP inspects National Stadium Abuja, ahead of presidential primaries

Ahead of its planned National Convention to elect its 2023 presidential candidate, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the 2022 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention for the nomination of the Presidential candidate of the party, Senator David Mark on Tuesday, led other members of the committee on an inspection tour of the Abuja National Stadium, the venue of the convention to ensure a hitch-free event.

The Convention is slated to hold on May 28th and 29th, 2022.

Other members of the committee at the stadium include Governors Samuel Ortom, Godwin Obaseki, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Benue, Edo and Enugu states respectively.

Also at the inspection were Barr Ibrahim Shema and Emeka Ihedioha, former Governors of Katsina and Imo states, Prof Jerry Gana, Senator Olujinmi, Senator Philip Aduda as well as Mr Solomon Arase, former Inspector General of Police, among others.

About 3700 delegates from thev36 state and the FCT are expected to elect the party’s presidential candidate for the 20223 presidential elections, out of the 15 aspirants who have been cleared for the primaries
