Anambra North: Senator Oduah, ex Governor Obiano’s wife, Ebele, in fight to finish

It will be battle of the ladies in the fight for the senate seat of Anambra senatorial district, as incumbent senator, Stella Oduah and former Anambra First Lady Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, won the tickets for Anambra North senatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). respectively

Mrs Obiano defeated her husband’s former Chief of Staff, Chief Primus Odili with 152 votes to 120 at APGA primary conducted at the Ikpeazu Sports Stadium, Onitsha Sunday

Senator Oduah, a former Aviation Minister, who will be seeking the senate seat for the third consecutive time will however need to battle it out with the former first lady to retain her seat.

For the Awka North and South Federal ticket, it was another governorship aspirant, Maxwell Okoye, who was elected, while the incumbent lawmaker for Orumba North and South, Hon Okwudili Nwankwo retained the APC ticket.
