Gwagwalada Chaplain  honours retired Police officer

The police Chaplain Gwagwalada Division has honoured the Divisional Traffic Officer, DSP Ahmed Jagaba for his outstanding performance and successful retirement.

There was excitement among police officers, relatives, friends, Okada riders as well as vigilantes who gathered to attend the retirement service.

The  Chaplain in-charge of Gwagwalada Division, Pastor Oshiosimuan Endurance has applauded the outgoing DSP for  contributing towards promoting the image of the profession just as he encouraged  other police officers more especially the junior ones to emulate him. 

He described the retiring officer as committed and dedicated worshipper who respect and treat other people well in the society, explaining that his good character attracted both Muslims and Christians to attend the sendforth service.

The Clergy prayed God to take over his welfare during retirement just as he wished all the invited guests journey mercy to their respective destinations. 

On his part, the  celebrant, DSP Ahmed Jagaba rtd.  Appreciated management of police  force for  giving him the opportunity to  serve his father land diligently just as he noted that he would use his retirement year to go back to his  home town and engage in farming activities.

He tasked other police officers to remain loyal and imbibe the culture of discipline noting that the acts would in no small measure take them to the peak of the profession if sustained.

Jagaba equally called on police officers to  build good working relationships with officers from sister agencies as well as members of the public, adding that large crowd attended the service due to the cordial relationship he maintained with the residents of Gwagwalada and environs.

For the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Gwagwalada, SP Victor Isuku he  poured encomiums on the  retiring DTO describing him as a professional police officer who discharge his duty efficiently.

He encouraged him  to plan for better life after retirement, adding that he should use his retirement benefits to invest in business or engaging in farming activities just as he cautioned that marrying another wife or building a  house is not the profitable option.
