AMAC chair  vows to equip PHC donated by Rotary club

The chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council, Hon. Christopher Maikalangu has promised to equip the newly completed Primary Health Care (PHC) by the Rotary Club of Abuja, Karu Housing Estate.

He disclosed this during

Handover of the facility at the Healthcare Centre, Jikwoyi, on Thursday.

Maikalangu expressed the hope that the provision of quality health care service would reverse the poor health indices in the council, adding that his administration will fulfil all its promises made to the people.

He said: “I am hopeful that our children and women will no more be dying needlessly during childbirth;  as a result of vaccine preventable diseases or common ailment; access to health care will not be limited because of lack of money to pay in this administration.

“AMAC under my watch will continue to ensure that great numbers of residents have access to quality basic health care services. our Administration will fulfil all the promises made to the people.

“I urge the direct beneficiaries this medical facility to make judicious use of this facility and also protect it, I wish to add that we will complement your efforts by providing medical inputs to the clinic in addition to staffing and management

“I am glad to celebrate your vision and I believe it will go a long way to augment the Council’s efforts in providing basic healthcare to the people of Jikoyi community.

“This is not the first time your club has made such intervention. To my knowledge, Rotary has facilitated and funded the construction of PHCs in Dutsen-Garki and Kuchigoro aside providing basic medical facilities to some clinics within AMAC.

“I wish to reiterate my commendation for the clubs considering this community in your efforts to make life more meaningful and also intervene in providing grass roots services”
