2023 Elections: PDP deplores Nasarawa Gov’s threat to crush opposition

By Abubakar Yakubu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has accused the state governor, Abdullahi Sule of allegedly vowing to crush anyone standing between him and the governorship seat in the 2023 elections.

PDP state chairman, Francis Orogu, who stated this yesterday in a media parley with journalists at Karu in Nasarawa State, warned that the PDP will resist any form of intimidation by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state through every legitimate means possible.

The party chairman lamented over the performances of the ruling APC within the last seven and a half years and said in a normal clime, the PDP is not supposed to campaign but have an easy ride back to power next year.

He vowed that the party will retire and banish Governor Sule to Saudi Arabia next year.

Speaking earlier, the state PDP governorship candidate, David Ombugadu, urged leaders to desist from stoking the embers of discords as well as heighten tensions due to their political ambition, adding that the PDP will not preach violence but dwell on issues to move the state forward positively when it takes power next year
