A joint team of security operatives comprising of the police, military, vigilantes and some hunters are on the trail of the gunmen who kidnapped six primary school pupils at Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Friday.
The pupils, who are from the Local Education Authority of Alwaza Community in the state, are between the ages of six and eight and were abducted at about 7 am, while going to school.
The state police command’s spokesman, Deputy Superintendent Ramhan Nansel, who confirmed the kidnapped incident to journalists, said the joint team of security operatives have been deployed to the affected areas on a rescue mission.
He said the state Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba visited the community and interacted with parents of the affected pupils, where he assured that they will be rescued very quickly.
