Singer Market Fire: Gawuna Feels The Pains Of Traders

From Maduabuchi Nmeribeh, Kano

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, has expressed deep pain over the mysterious fire that gutted parts of the populär Singer market in Kano.

The AUTHORITY reports that the inferno which broke out early morning Monday, destroyed over 12 shops and many kiosks, as goods and property wörth billions of Naira went up in flames.

The cause of the fire incident is yet to be establiahed by the authorities.

A Statement signed by Gawuna’s Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Musa Fagge, indicated that the APC gubernatorial flag-bearer who is also the Deputy Governor of Kano State, grieved at the fire incident.

According to the Statement: “Kano State Deputy Governor and APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna on monday commisserated with victims of the early morning fire incident which razed parts of the popular Singer Market in Kano.

“He expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident that left shops and goods razed with huge losses and assured that government would take measures to forestall such circumstances.”

Gawuna said: “I wish to on behalf of myself,my running-mate Hon.Murtala Sule Garo and our supporters commisserate and console the traders who lost their valuables in the inferno.

“I pray may Almighty Allah protect them from such shocking experience in future.”

Gawuna also commended the State Fire Service for responding to the incident.
