Nine NNPP House Of Assembly Candidates In Kano Drag APC, INEC To Election Tribunal

The State Assembly Election Tribunal sitting at Miller Road Court complex in Kano has received the petitions of nine state House of Assembly candidates of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) against the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The petitioners have also prayed the tribunal to grant their request for an motion exparte.

The applicants are asking the Tribunal for an motion exparte allowing them to inspect the materials used by INEC, during the conduct of the state House of Assembly election, held on March 18th 2023.

Their request also borders on seeking the permission of the court to proceed with the fulfilment of all necessary court processes in relations to pursuing their matter.

Further the NNPP stalwarts are in court to challenge issues they forsee to be in violations with the provisions of the electoral act 2022.

The NNPP candidates who have ignited the court case against INEC and APC are, Aminu Saidu Ungogo, Isiyiaku Ali Danja, Abdullahi Ali Wudil Manager, Kabiru Getso Haruna, Mahmud Tajo Gaya, Abdullahi Iliyasu, Musa Adamu Ahmad, Aminu Ibrahim Dambatta, Abdu Ibrahim Madaris.

The AUTHORITY reports that the motion exparte were all filed before the court, on April 4, 2023.
